TRAXMEET GPX import functionality
What is GPX?
GPX (GPS eXchange format) is a data format designed for describing GPS route data between different software applications.
The format stores location, elevation, and time and can be used to interchange data between GPS devices and software applications.
How to import GPX file to Traxmeet?
1) First you have to ensure that you have suitable device which records route data and that your application has a .gpx file export functionality.
2) Download the data from your device to a desired software application which supports your device (e.g. Garmin Training Center for Garmin device users)
3) When you have downloaded the data to the desired application, you should produce a .gpx file by using export functionality of your application.
4) Install and start the Traxmeet Sync application (downloadable from
http://www.traxmeet.com/eng/sync_en.jsp)
5) On Traxmeet Sync, Choose 'File' > ' Import from file' and select the right location from your computer where you recently stored the exported .gpx file (see picture).
6) Choose the desired file(s) and select 'open'. Importing of .gpx file will start immediately (see picture).
Example - Nokia Sports Tracker
1) Record the performance with compatible phone and Nokia Sports Tracker application. Your route data will be automatically stored to your Sports Tracker training diary.
2) To export the route, scroll Training diary / Options / List view / select a workout / options / Export / Export as GPX. GPX file will be saved to your phone's memory (select the location when asked).
3) Send the .gpx file by email, MMS or Bluetooth and save the file to your computer's hard drive. You can also transfer .gpx file using your phone's memory card and memory card reader on your computer.
